Job purpose

As a member of the Architecture & Control team, you will be responsible for developing the control algorithm for powertrain system to achieve required vehicle performance.

 Duties and responsibilities

  • Define and specify the vehicle specification and architect the electric powertrain system
  • Develop the physical model including vehicle dynamic simulation model, electric powertrain system model
  • Lead and coordinate with cross-functional teams on specification, design trade-off and analysis
  • Develop control algorithm for thermal control, battery control, traction control system, electronic stability control, etc.
  • Implement simulation models into hardware/software-in-the-loop testing

Minimum travel requirement

 Required Education and Experience

  • BS, MS or Ph.D. in CS, CE, EE or a related field.
  • Strong and good understanding of physical system including electrical, mechanical and thermal systems, power engineering, and vehicle dynamics. 
  • Experience of electric powertrain development
  • Experience of vehicle dynamics, suspension tuning
  • Experience of hardware/software in the loop testing
  • Familiar with popular calibration tools in automotive industry, such CAN, LIN, UART, SPI, I2C, UDS, XCP, Vector Canalyzer, CANAPE
  • Knowledge and experience with UDS diagnostic services and functional diagnostics development for products, exposure to ISO26262, MISRA.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment 
  • Strong work ethics, highly motivated, and positive energy and attitude
