SHHHOWERCAP is looking for a Director of Operations. This person will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, overseeing multiple key functions in the business, and driving both top and bottom line growth. This person is a highly strategic thinker, capable of quickly assessing scenarios and translating strategy into action plans. They must be a strong leader who is able to inspire their team to take action without being prescriptive.

This person has experience honing their operational, strategy, and management skills in a fast-paced startup environment and is well-versed in how to manage complex inventory-based operations at scale. This person will lead multiple teams, including supply chain, finance / FP & A, customer experience, SKU planning, people operations, and compliance, to ensure the entire business is operating at it's prime. They will report to the CFO/COO and manage a team of department heads. Overall, they will be in lock-step with the CFO/COO + CEO along with the executive team, helping to chart the course for the present performance and future growth of SHHHOWERCAP.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

  • Collaborate with the CFO/COO in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs
  • Drive the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business objectives
  • Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning
  • Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met
  • Establish and deploy KPI's for the business assuring that internal and external processes are established to meet them
  • Provide timely, accurate and complete reports for leadership team
  • Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes
  • Adhere to company, federal, state, and local business requirements, enforcing compliance and taking action when necessary
  • Lead strategic market and portfolio analysis, identifying growth opportunities NA and abroad.
  • Ensure that all staff receives appropriate training on job duties, corporate policies and applicable regulations
  • Develop operating procedures, KPIs, OKRS, and goals for each manager within each department
  • Monitor third party business and suppliers to ensure that they are efficiently and effectively providing the needed services and supplies while staying within budgetary limits
  • Lead supply chain and operations strategy, empowering the team to achieve KPIs through excellence in merchandising, manufacturing,  logistics, and customer service
  • Drive the inventory and planning strategy to optimize for stock levels, speed, and margin
  • Partner with internal design and merchandising teams on product development as it relates to sourcing and sampling
  • Lead the strategy and sourcing for the backend “tech stack” for the business in regards to logistics. Evaluate potential new software and service providers, present recommendations to CEO, negotiate deals and contract terms, manage implementation
  • Approach every day with a continuous improvement mindset. Consistently identifying areas for improvement and putting forward recommendations 
  • Provide training to leaders on continuous improvement methodology and formal problem-solving techniques, enabling departments to drive better business results
  • Work with our Finance team to execute against best path forward to balance growth and profitability

ABOUT YOU:

  • 15 years of experience in either fashion, consumer products, or retail industries 
  • At least 2-3 years as a Director leader in a high-growth organization
  • Supply chain and manufacturing experience (preferably beauty and/or fashion)
  • Positive attitude and outlook! 
  • A natural born leader and people person; self awareness of personal leadership style and standard best practices 
  • Well-rounded solid experience in commercial innovation
  • Must have P&L management
  • Proven background in scaling an inventory-based business
  • Must have experience in DTC / E-commerce based business
  • Experience in wholesale - routing and warehouse management for prestigious major retailers
  • Highly developed management skills with the ability to build, lead and develop a team as well as effectively lead change
  • Strong communication skills. Can clearly articulate department needs as well as provide the team with a clear framework of the strategic priorities
  • MBA in Business, Marketing, or Administration is preferred but not necessary
  • Working knowledge of the industry and brand landscape
  • Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational, and written skills
  • Experience working with a team in a fast-paced setting / start up environment
