The Opportunity:

Shutterstock Montreal is looking for top technologists to join our DevOps Engineering team and help drive the future of our platform. You will be working with highly motivated and extremely talented engineers on Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery services with quality, performance and scale in mind at every step of the way. Our core belief is that the customers are our number one priority so we work hard to deliver value back to them with everything we do. We believe strongly in team ownership of systems, which includes defining the vision of the services to prioritization of projects.


  • Define, build, maintain infrastructure automation (e.g. CloudFormation, Terraform)
  • Define, build, maintain Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery services (e.g. Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, TeamCity)
  • Define, build, maintain container orchestration (e.g. AWS ECS, Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Participate in the overall architecture and infrastructure design of the CI\CD pipeline
  • Support the engineering teams’ continuous integration and continuous delivery initiatives
  • Train engineering team members on the CI\CD technologies
  • Contribute to capacity planning and demand forecasting


  • 3+ years experience in building and designing highly scalable CI\CD pipelines
  • Ability to craft simple and elegant solutions to complex problems
  • Experience and desire to learn the inner workings of:
    • Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, Puppet, Chef
    • Docker
    • AWS services
    • GCP services
    • Kubernetes
    • Elastic Search
    • Cassandra
    • Drone.io
    • Groovy
    • Python
    • Ruby
    • RabbitMQ
  • Strong ability to write scripts in an administrative language (Python, Perl, Ruby, or Shell)
  • Experience in building high-availability systems
  • Passionate about what you do and care deeply about the things you build
  • Able to clearly communicate to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to work well in a crisis and under pressure
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related experience
