Who we’re looking for:
You are exceptionally hard-working, innovative, a self-starter, and want to help us scale our business by creating new qualified sales opportunities and closing deals with indie developers. You’ll be negotiating and closing contracts with our prospective game studio accounts from both inbound leads and outbound prospecting. In this role, you’ll get first-hand training, learning about all aspects of the sales cycle, while helping us communicate the value of Skillz directly to our customers. You are ambitious, hungry and smart, and you want to work with a company that’s as high potential as you are.
Our SMB Account Executive position is focused on closing contracts with independent game developers. You’re capable of balancing multiple responsibilities and can execute on “full funnel” sales in addition to targeted prospecting. Day to day responsibilities include qualifying and routing leads, conducting Skillz introduction calls, and negotiating contracts and partnerships with mid-tier developers. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop a healthy pipeline of game studio client prospects
- Actively hunt and prospect for new game studio customers
- Achieve and consistently exceed sales targets by signing new developers onto the Skillz platform
- Use Salesforce.com for lead management and sales forecasting
- Conduct intro calls with new leads to qualify prospects and explain Skillz value proposition
- Communicate constantly with prospects via phone, email, and in-person
- 1-4 years professional experience in lead generation or B2B/software sales
- Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to overcome objections
- Ability to work in a high-energy sales team environment; team player
- Detailed oriented, interested in games, and has a competitive spirit
- Highly proficient in Powerpoint and Excel
- Excellent quantitative, analytical and communication skills
- Experience in Salesforce (CRM) is a plus
