We’re looking for a Senior Lead Security Officer to join Snap Inc! Working as a member of Snap’s Security Force under the direction of the Senior Regional Manager - Southern California, you will protect the staff, guests, and assets of Snap. Working from our Venice, CA headquarters, you’ll lead Security Officers, Senior Security Officers, and Security Lead Officers to create a welcoming environment for employees while effectively enforcing company policies and procedures in accordance with California state law.

What you’ll do:

  • Serve as the shift leader for campus operations and determine the necessary security staffing allocation during assigned shift
  • Serve as the administrator of the Security Training and Performance Plan
  • Create the evaluation metrics for progression through the levels of the Security Officer and Senior Security Officer roles
  • Review the Security Lead Officer Training and Performance Reports and the Daily Senior Security Officer Reports. Coordinate this information with the Security Training and Performance Plan
  • Assign the Lead Security and Senior Security Officers the appropriate new and sustainment training to be presented into the field
  • Recommend (based on the security Training and Performance Reports), to the Security Manager, Security Officer progression to an elevated level within the job classification
  • Assist the Security Manager with creating and maintaining a staffing schedule
  • Provide a monthly report to the Security Manager documenting attendance or performance issues with the in-house and contract vendor security teams.
  • Manage (including a risk assessment) an assigned external event security team as required
  • Conduct site and security officer assessments for satellite offices (via travel or remote access)
  • Provide one-on-one training for all new lead officers as well as follow up training for current lead officers
  • Conduct a scheduled policy and procedure review and recommend changes to the Security Manager
  • Supervise security team members by participating in recruitment, ensuring training, compliance with policies and protocols, and providing frequent feedback and coaching
  • Liaise with local emergency services and local law enforcement
  • Interface with other Leads and our Global Operations Center for assignments and tasks
  • Prioritize officers’ activities to ensure work is completed and timely
  • Patrol, respond to alarms and other emergency conditions, appropriately document actions
  • Greet guests and vendors with a service attitude and ensure security escorts

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Snap Inc Lead Officer operating at the Subject Matter Expert level (or comparable outside experience and ability)
  • Minimum five (5) years law enforcement, military, or security experience
  • Previously led a team of at least five (5) people for three (3) or more years
  • Strong written, oral communications, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to demonstrate Snap’s core values and Brand
  • Capable of critical thinking and decision making
  • Valid CA BSIS guard card and exposed firearm permit
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Understands the functions of security systems and technology including CCTV, access control and radios
  • Available to work non-traditional schedules including holidays, nights, and weekends
