Reporting to the Director Marketing, APJ, you will be responsible for rolling out global demand generation campaigns in Japan and assisting in some local programs that cover the wider APAC region.

Required to manage strategic planning and execution of marketing activities designed to drive demand, brand awareness, increase sales growth, channel adoption and expand market share. Responsible for strategic planning, development and coordination of marketing activities to promote the SonicWall portfolio.

Develop and implement marketing plans, programs and activities related to demand generation, install base up-sell and cross-sell, channel marketing and partner communications, analyst and public relations. Identifies, evaluates and resolves business issues, manages budget and provides leadership to the marketing function in region.


Deliver innovative demand generation campaigns to generate excitement and heighten awareness, 
articulate segment value propositions and message hierarchy  
Develop and execute initiatives for marketing automation, lead generation, on-boarding and nurture campaigns 
Work with other departments to produce, publish, and promote content, including blog posts, email newsletters, and white papers 
Build relationships with influencers, analysts and journalists. Pitch and land editorial coverage at target publications 
Drive local social media activity including Twitter 
Responsible for overall digital marketing strategy development, implementation and reporting 
Manage events and maximizing the ROI at conferences, tradeshows etc. Handling all logistics and promotions from start to finish, including booth design, collateral, lead tracking, speaker management and engaging sales participation 
Working closely with channel partners (distributors and resellers) on strategic planning and tactical execution – to deliver better sales and marketing enablement, demand generation, partner recruitment and retention, and ownership of MDF and channel programs 
Develop partner marketing tools and ensure that partner programs meet marketing objectives 
Work as part of the great APJ marketing team, to share best practice and initiatives in order to strengthen regional presence and overall success 
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with regional sales leader and sales teams 

Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, or similar; or equivalent work experience 
Marketing professional with minimum 7 years’ experience in a similar role within IT/technology B2B environment 
Good understanding of social media landscape and experience in running paid campaigns as well as organic 
Proven experience of SEM and SEO campaign management with ability to understand reporting in Google Analytics 
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and across cross-functional teams 
Ability to work effectively under deadlines and juggle several assignments simultaneously 
Outstanding organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and the ability to be flexible and adaptable in a team-oriented environment 
Exhibit high energy and willingness to pitch in and help the larger team accomplish goals/work assignments 
Be resourceful and feel comfortable reaching out to other departments to complete assignments 
Eloqua & SFDC proficiency will be a strong advantage 
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
