Splash is an ever-evolving platform of software, devices, APIs and services that tie together to create beautiful, high-impact events. We are seeking QA Engineers to join our growing Engineering team, where you'll be working closely with Engineering and Product to create automated and manual test plans, increasing quality through test coverage across the entire product suite - including our API, services and mobile platforms.
Design, write and implement test cases into our automation framework; identify areas where automation doesn’t exist and can be leveraged to increase coverage
Deliver a robust testing framework (automated and manual) around our growing iOS and Android products
Run and revise smoke tests to ensure optimal post-production behavior and manual testing when necessary
Track quality assurance metrics such as bug density, open defects and test coverage, collaborating with the team to find solutions on problem areas
Work within and continually refine our quality assurance processes to support rigorous testing in Splash's software development lifecycle
Work closely with our customer success and support teams to triage, track down and prioritize client-reported issues, including root cause analysis on critical issues and incidents
Work closely with product management and other internal Splash organizations to define test and acceptance criteria for new features and functionality
Continuous optimization of the speed/stability of test suites and orchestrating effective failure mechanisms to ensure the right members of our team are alerted of regressions
Participate in regular scrums and contribute ideas to our technology, algorithms and products
Learn about new trends and technology in the QA space
Partake in and Evolve the Splash Engineering Culture
Minimum of 3+ years experience with release management and release testing specifically with web and mobile testing tools
Experience with Selenium and exposure to other testing frameworks such as Cucumber and Cypress
Strong proficiency with Smoke, Unit and Performance Testing
Experience within the fast-paced world of startups - you can prioritize, meet your goals, delegate and push back when necessary
Proven experience with delivering high quality software products in multi-disciplined organizations
Have worked extensively on teams that operate using Agile/Scrum methodologies
High-level of quality in written and verbal communication
Enterprise-class troubleshooting skills - you have a strong capability to identify, replicate and document software problems quickly and efficiently and work with product management to prioritize severity
Experience with a scripting language: Ruby, Python, PHP, etc.
