Software Engineer - Cash Cards

We build the best financial products in the world - starting with Cash Cards. Our mission is to make Cash Card the top-of-wallet spending device to our customers by building delightful and differentiated seamless end-to-end experiences across ordering + managing cards and conducting everyday spend.

As a member of the team, you will own the design, implementation and improvement of Cash Card products and features. Not only will you get to ship awesome new products and features, you'll also optimize them to provide the best experience to our customers and maximize their engagement. We build our services over Cash App's ever-evolving infrastructure, and as an engineer on the team, you will embrace these changes and scale our card stack to enable future evolvability.

You will:

Be object oriented, fearlessly take on new technical challenges and drive deliverables.
Build high performance systems that can handle millions of card orders per month.
Demonstrate rigor in high code quality, good test coverage and other engineering best practices.
Work cross-functionally with other engineering teams, design, product, data science and our operations team to design new service features.
Design fault-tolerant systems with robust observability so the team can iterate quickly and take calculated risks without negative impact reaching our customers
Build incrementally, test everything, and deploy often

You have:

2 or more years of software development or equivalent experience
Experience building highly scalable, low-latency global systems
A sense of developer empathy that reflects into the product and feature design.
A vested interest in advancing Cash App's vision of building for economic empowerment
Growth mindset and a healthy comfort with ambiguity
Strong communication skills
A focus on customer outcomes
