Position Overview

StepStone is looking for a motivated, focused, and organized individual for the Client Operations team. The Client Operations Analyst helps serve as the day-to-day contact for over 3,000 investors by providing exceptional client service, assisting in management and maintenance of the database and a highly time sensitive document flow.  Working with Fund Administration, Portfolio Analytics & Reporting, and Investor Relations teams. The position serves as a trusted resource for information and assistance with client onboarding, internal reports, transfers and document uploads for our clients.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Onboarding new investors and funds; verifying and updating contact information, commitment amounts and communication permissions
  • Maintaining StepStone’s Customer Relationship Management (“CRM”) databases and investor portal, including Posting documents to the investor portal and creating client communications
  • Managing Outlook Inboxes
  • Communicating with other StepStone departments regarding upcoming posts and approvals 
  • Compile and evaluate investor data for internal reporting
  • Responding by e-mail and/or phone to client inquiries and information requests
  • Updating and managing document processes and policies to ensure proper record keeping

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience using and managing Salesforce, Microsoft CRM and Microsoft Sharepoint or an equivalent database required
  • Must have demonstrated track record of handling sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner
  • Strong Excel/analytics skills; proficient in other Microsoft Office applications
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel required (vlookups, sumifs, etc.)
  • Meticulous attention to detail; strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and manage time in a detail-oriented environment
  • Related client service experience in financial services, alternative fund or corporate administration or similar field experience
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a small, tightly knit team
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred
