Senior Solutions Engineer

Position Summary:

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will play a key role on our team to help close major deals, manage and upsell Tapad’s current client base by leveraging your technical, business, and sales expertise. The Senior Solutions Engineer will be  responsible for pre-sales strategy and technical expertise for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions.  You will need to understand client requirements and explain the value of Tapad's Device Graph technology. Technical expertise is a must to be able to explain details and answer questions simply, to architect a solution using Tapad.

In this client-facing role, you will also get to work closely with the Product Management and Engineering teams to create solutions and enhance the Tapad product based on customer feedback and market demand. The Senior Solutions Engineer must be confident in articulating technology and product positioning to both business and technical audiences, while establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Sales Executives and internal stakeholders to help in the development of responses to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Explain core Tapad technology and its value
  • Gather technical and business needs and requirements
  • Architect solutions
  • Create reports and presentations to convey Tapad value to prospects and clients
  • Travel to on-site customer meetings as needed
  • Act as the technical point of contact for strategic clients
  • Evaluate client's’ 1st and 3rd party data integration, digital media buying, technology vendor requirements, and developing integration strategies for the Tapad Platform
  • Escalate, track and solve client implementation issues
  • Maintain strong, active relationships with key client stakeholders
  • Become a Tapad product expert and assist in creating, organizing, and disseminating information both internally and externally
  • Assist in training new Tapad employees on the technical aspects of our products and services
  • Track account activity and prospect notes within Salesforce.com for management reports
  • Document and report internally relevant marketplace learnings and client requests to inform future product development

  • Ability to ask key questions to scope projects, qualify/disqualify opportunities, gather detailed product requirements, etc.
  • Ability to create PowerPoint presentations and reports to convey Tapad’s value
  • Technical skills: understanding of web technologies and digital marketing/advertising.  Familiarity with the below are strongly preferred:
  • Experience demoing Platforms and or other ad tech platforms
  • Data management platform selling and solution generation
  • Product Training
  • Hands on knowledge of web technologies ( HTML, PHP, Javascript etc)
  • Experience in creating SQL queries and using command line to process data
  • Technical understanding of Internet tracking technologies from cookies to hardware IDs


  • Ideal candidates are self-motivated with a proven track record in Demand Side Platforms, Ad Exchanges, Data Management Platforms, or Third Party Ad Servers with advanced knowledge of the ad tech space
  • Extensive knowledge of the ad tech industry (media preferred)
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate technical solutions to prospects/clients during sales processes
  • Ability to master multi-tasking and efficient workflow processes
  • Ability to learn and conceptualize advanced technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or over 3 years of strategic level experience in marketing technology
