Since we launched, the Pill Club has been focused on prescribing and delivering birth control directly to our members. We want to do more, so we are working to build a new platform that will allow us to offer more products and services to our customers. We are looking for a motivated and passionate Full Stack Engineer to join our engineering team.

Our team is distributed, diverse, and passionate. We are growing quickly and hiring across all of our teams. We have lots of exciting projects which will allow you to engage in all aspects of the product life cycle, to architect and design systems that are scalable and flexible, and to own and drive projects forward. As a full stack engineer at the Pill Club, you’ll help us improve our patients’ experience by adding more information and features to allow them to take control of their healthcare journey.

You will:

Write, test, and maintain code written in Java using the Spring framework (backend) and TypeScript using the React framework (frontend)
Work closely with our product and design teams to understand business needs and propose solutions as true partners
Participate in code-reviews and demonstrate and promote clean and maintainable coding practices
Build software in an agile, iterative environment

You have:

Experience building full-stack responsive web applications using modern web frameworks like Spring MVC, Django, Rails, or Express
Modern JavaScript / TypeScript experience (ES6+) along with CSS
Been a consumer and developer of RESTful APIs
Built automated tests using a testing framework like JUnit or Jest
At least 2 years of professional experience as a software engineer

Even better if you have:

Experience building software for health-care or related fields
Experience working in an environment with regulatory and privacy requirements like HIPAA
Experience in our backend stack (Java + Spring + MySQL on AWS)
Experience in our frontend stack (Gatsby + React + TypeScript + Styled Components)
Experience with React Native or mobile development
Data modeling experience using an ORM
Written technical design documents
Built integrations with vendors like Twilio, Stripe, and Segment
