As a Member of Investor Relations and Business Development, you will report to a Managing Director of Investor Relations and Business Development. Your work will focus on the core of our enterprise, which includes engaging with new and existing clients and prospects. Together, you and the senior sales professionals will nurture, grow, and enhance one of our most treasured assets: our valued clients. This role is a means to make a difference: you will create lasting relationships and you will bring promising new opportunities to the investment community.
This role is based either in Berkeley or in Connecticut (in proximity to New York).
Support our Managing Directors of Investor Relations and Business Development as they prepare to engage with existing clients and prospects, including extensive research and planning
Partner with senior sales professionals along the sales cycle from sourcing new opportunities to closing investments with existing clients and prospects
Build and manage strong relationships with selected segments of existing clients and prospects, such as smaller institutional investors, family offices, and smaller fund-of-funds
Innovate by finding and deploying new approaches to client work
Collaborate with colleagues in other areas, such as Strategy and Operations, to consider new product development, to evaluate new geographies, and to enhance marketing materials/reports
Travel for client work both within the US and internationally
At least two years of experience in a junior sales role (or a sales-oriented operations role) at an asset management firm
Track record of closing investment opportunities and/or supporting senior colleagues in closing substantial investments from leading institutional investors
