Imagine someone gave you these three things: the opportunity to change the future of education, the autonomy to grow your own business, and all the necessary tools to be successful. If a job that combines all three of those things interests you, you may be a fit for our Associate Account Executive (AAE) role here at Top Hat.
As an AAE, you will be assigned an exclusive territory of colleges and universities where you’ll have the autonomy to reach out and develop your own relationships with professors, demonstrate the value of our platform and products, and convert them into clients. To do this, you will show how our products help both students and professors engage in the classroom experience, and how they enable better learning outcomes. In essence, you will be making education better for students: one professor, one classroom, one school at a time.
You will be responsible for prospecting and cold calling new professors, and you will help grow and diversify Top Hat’s presence in universities and colleges across North America. You will be adding value by working with professors to change how they teach and by bringing the education experience into the future.
What you’ll do:
Own the full sales cycle, selling into Universities and Colleges across North America with a focus on schools that we haven’t worked with yet.
Book meetings, run virtual demonstrations, and follow-up to close new business.
Grow the campus user base through lead generation, referrals, and the relationships you’ve developed with professors.
Demonstrate the value of using our platform and how we are disrupting the traditional classroom model.
Other duties as required.
Who you are:
You are a motivated, energetic person with a passion for positive change.
You are ambitious and driven to succeed.
You have 1 to 3 years of sales and/or retail experience.
You have experience working in a metrics-driven environment and remain positive when facing common objections.
You are a creative problem-solver, able to brainstorm unique solutions to interesting challenges.
You have completed a bachelor's degree or have demonstrated equivalent experience.
Experience usingSalesforce.com or another CRM would be considered an asset.
You are achievement-oriented and excited to join a team that is driving change in higher education.
Some of the reasons we attract great people:
You will be making teaching more fun and effective by changing the way students learn and teachers teach.
You will have the opportunity to learn and grow as a salesperson through regular 1:1 coaching with your sales managers and team leads.
You will have a customized learning and development plan to ensure that you are able to grow to where you’d like to be in your career, whether that’s an account executive, an account manager, or an enterprise sales executive.
You will attend Sales University, our four-week training program that will build on your existing skills, help you develop new ones, and educate you on our SaaS platform so that you become a rockstar salesperson.
We have a great culture and a team-based environment, where everyone motivates each other to be their best selves, day in and day out.
