Here at Top Hat, we’re looking for motivated and successful people to join our fast-growing team. As a National Account Executive (NAE), your focus will be on Top Hat’s content solution, which gives professors and departments a revolutionary new model for adopting, customizing, creating, and sharing course content.
The National Account Executive will formulate and execute a sales strategy within an assigned region, drive revenue growth by penetrating the current customer base, and develop new customers in the region. The incumbent will work in partnership with existing account owners and will carry a quota for content-product sales.
Total Compensation: CA$140,000 - $160,000/yr
What you’ll do:
Sell. You will help create, facilitate, and close large content opportunities in assigned regions.
Strategize. You will work cross-functionally with other departments within sales, as well as with our Content, Product, and Marketing teams to win larger adoptions that we have lost in the past.
Insight. You will provide insight into the education market and be a leader in our industry.
Build. You will use past data to develop processes that build upon what is working, and you will also identify new ways to win in areas we’ve lost adoptions in the past.
Coach. You will organize and implement training in order to level up the sales process and sales acumen of our account managers and account executives.
Travel. As a NAE, you will be expected to travel roughly 40% of the time during peak season, and approximately 10% of the time during the off-season, in order to close deals and assist reps other reps with their closing.
Who you are:
You have 3-6 years of experience in a full-cycle sales role in a SaaS environment
You have a strong sales acumen, and are able to be creative with closing and adapting to different business needs.
You are a leader, able to coach, motivate, and lead by example, while also being a team player with a positive and collaborative attitude
You have experience working in a similar role with previous sales/coaching/leadership experience
You have the sales skills, including the ability to drive & close large deals, prospect effectively, and run the full sales cycle (including cold calling, demos, probing, and product pitching)
You have effective time management and organization skills
You have a strong ability to interpret and apply coaching quickly
You are very knowledgeable with common objections and know the best way to handle them
