About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to manage Trainline’s advertising program and create the longterm programmatic strategy while further building the team. You will have full ownership of management and optimisation of the current setup, delivering all advertiser campaigns on our internal ad network, driving PMP sales, and helping the commercial team deliver our ambitious goals.
Manage and optimise Ad server set up and auction marketplace: 40%
-Ensure current setup for DFP, AdX, and other SSPs (OpenX, Rubicon, Index Exchange) are functioning optimally
-Optimise server set up and ad placements on Trainline real estate to generate maximum value
- Create the programmatic strategy and further build the team
-Work closely with Google and SSP account teams to maximise value generate through those ad networks
-Work with DMP to provide better targeting for client campaigns
Sales & execution of PMP campaigns: 60%
-Generate 5-10 PMP campaigns a month through partnerships with media agencies
-Set up PMP campaigns across display and rich media; working closely with internal commercial team and liaising with clients to chase up creative, answer queries, offer technical support
-Effectively optimise campaigns using 1st party and 3rd party data to deliver campaigns to spec
-Manage available inventory by forecasting fill rates, pricing etc
-Working alongside product and analytics team to implement tags at creative level, as well as any testing and troubleshooting they carry out.
-Provide detailed client reporting on campaigns and analyse results for future learnings
-Join commercial and sales teams on client meetings
Skills and Experience:
-Proven AdOps/Programmatic background working at a publisher or agency
-Experience in setting up and managing large volume of client campaigns across web and mobile
-Comfortable in working with existing agency partners and bringing on-board new agency clients for PMP and direct deals.
- Ideally, you will have a rolodex of agency partners you have worked with before.
-Ability to use a high amount of 1st party and 3rd party data to optimise campaigns and advise clients
-Experience with a variety of ad servers and SSPs, preferably DFP and/or Appnexus
-Ability to work under own initiative, prioritising workloads and multi-tasking
-Solid communicator, with the ability to communicate with various business groups, including clients, sales and creative teams
