We're looking for a Senior Display Manager to join our growing Performance marketing team as we expand into new markets. This is an excellent opportunity for a Biddable media expert to join the team and be responsible for delivering European Display activity to drive significant new customer and transactions through optimised and effective display campaigns. 

This is an exciting time to be joining the team - we're completely innovating our approach to programmatic with the use of Dynamic Ads, shifting our focus to new more insightful attribution modelling and collaborating with product teams and third party agencies to help us test and optimise how we target specific audiences. With a significant Marketing budget we are transforming the way we engage with customers as part of a wider strategy to become a one-stop shop for rail travel.

What you'll be doing:

  • Channel Strategy:
  • Lead Trainline’s display channel across programmatic display, re-targeting and paid social to deliver traffic, new customers and train ticket sales via the website in the UK and our European markets
  • Maximise opportunity through collaboration with PPC, SEO, Mobile Marketing, CRM, Database Marketing, Brand, PR as well as the product teams

  • Campaign Management:
  • Allocate budget across the various partners to optimize for CPA and volume of new customers / transactions
  • Manage, mentor and lead a team of two Executives to deliver channel objectives
  • Test new publishers, tactics and technologies to ensure best-in-class display performance delivered to key audiences
  • Tracking and reporting on KPIs, manage and share regular reporting

What you'll bring:

  • Track record of using Display / Programmatic / Paid Social to transform channel revenue and customer acquisition
  • Proven channel management either client-side or agency-side
  • Proven experience of managing significant marketing budgets and accountability for meeting revenue targets
  • Strong understanding of marketing technology infrastructure as it relates to display, e.g. DSPs, ad servers, data feeds, tagging
  • Experience in managing junior specialists
  • Obsessed by driving marketing performance and ROI
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience of and comfort with working in a data-driven environment
  • Evidence of influencing and challenging key business decisions at department level and cross functionally
  • Hands-on self-starter with the combination of analytic and commercial skills to figure out what needs doing and then doing it
  • Analytical thinker with a demonstrably broad business perspective
  • Displays energy, creativity and innovation
  • Results-focused
  • Comfortable working in a fast-changing environment; appetite and motivation to raise the game
