As Industry Principal - Retail, you will be the expert lead for our vertical go to market to this Industry. You will focus primarily on active sales cycles, from prospecting to POC stages, helping our sales teams as the industry expert in sales meetings, creating industry and persona specific collaterals, establishing and sharing best practices and training our sales teams on industry specific selling. You will also create content for top of funnel industry marketing activities, and nurturing efforts.
Responsibilities - Industry Principal - Retail:
-Build our expertise on the industry, including top use cases for a Customer Data Platform (CDP), groups and personas involved in the purchase cycles for a CDP, etc
-Tailor our collateral to create differentiated messaging and positioning to target these companies and personas in this industry effectively, across the buyer journeys
-Create sales collateral and collaborate with our enablement team to train sales teams and partners
-Participate in sales calls to provide industry expertise, and share best practices across active accounts
-Collaborate with the marketing team to guide content creation across brand awareness, demand gen and nurturing for the industry
-5+ years of sales experience, meeting all the following criteria:
-Martech/adtech software, marketing buyer personas
-Significant experience selling to customers in the Retail industry; preferably part of practice selling exclusively to the Retail industry Enterprise customers (global 2000)
-Deep understanding of the Retail industry
-Deep understanding of marketing buyer personas
-Ability to take a complex message and simplifying it
-A can-do attitude and a passion for technology and innovation
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work cross-functionally to execute initiatives
