In this role, you will support the strategic needs of TripAdvisor’s global Display Advertising and Key Accounts sales teams by identifying key measurement and analytic opportunities to help define and reinforce the value of TripAdvisor to marketing strategies, then creating new research & analytics products which further help TripAdvisor’s largest clients to grow.

What you’ll do:

The Analytics Product Manager will put a primary focus on planning and designing all aspects of delivering quality tests and traveler insights, including:

  • Lead Insights Product Development: Determine which traveller data might be most beneficial to which TripAdvisor clients, then build out valuable products and services on top of this data.
  • Test TripAdvisor Advertising Solutions: Determine most valuable priorities for digital product testing, then lead test design, execution and management, working with Engineering, Ad Operations and other internal constituents to prove and showcase the value of TripAdvisor marketing and products to encourage clients toward larger investments
  • Mine Internal Global User Data: Design and deliver Dashboards, Reports and other tools and products which analyse and provide significant insights using the large volume of data available from TripAdvisor’s hundreds of millions of annual visitors
  • Manage Outside Research: Oversee vendor research proposals and ensure the delivery of top-notch primary and syndicated research, facts and insights
  • Manage Extended Stakeholders: Set clear objectives, methodologies, costs and deliverables for clients, Insights team members, engineers , Ad Operations and senior managers across the company
  • Deliver the Highest Quality Insights: Manage the final output of case studies in a clear, digestible, and actionable format as well as educate the sales team and key clients of the research outputs at both a high level and campaign specific view
  • Lead Quality Partner Consulting: While the delivery of actionable data and insights products is key, the ideal candidate will also be able to think proactively about how to best use research and testing to improve client relationships and in so doing potentially lead the development of new business opportunities

You should have:

  • True passion for the world of travel and how it continues to grow and change across the world
  • Skill in exploring current client needs and suggesting strategic options; consulting experience a plus
  • Proven experience in turning an idea into a new product or service and taking it to market
  • Talent for analysing data, identifying insights and developing them into compelling presentations
  • Working knowledge of marketing analytics, including a basic understanding of Search & Display measurement
  • Significant experience making clear, convincing presentations to both internal and external audiences
  • Experience managing survey research, either directly or via outside vendors
  • Experience using general and advertising-specific research tools including but not limited to:
    • Online data visualization layers such as Tableau, Domo
    • 3rd party audience research such as comScore, PhoCusWright or Compete
    • Web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Omniture
  • High level of confidence and self-motivation; ability to identify opportunities and run with them with little oversight
  • Experience working closely with a sales organization a strong plus
  • Strong oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • High level of comfort working in Excel and Powerpoint
  • Bachelor degree or higher; MBA preferred but not required
