We are looking to hire a passionate engineering professional to step into our Tech Lead opening for one of our B2B product teams, who are focused on building scalable customer facing web products. The Data Insights team is part of our Data Products portfolio, focused on leveraging customer data to provide actionable insights and useful data visualization dashboards and hence help our businesses grow.

This is a great role if you're a skilled Tech Lead, looking for a new product to work on, but also if you're an experienced Software Engineer II, looking for that opportunity to step up and lead a team of developers from a technical perspective. 

In this role you will be responsible for setting the standard of quality and pushing the best software engineering practices, whilst ensuring scalability, performance and security. Leading a team of talented developers, you will have the opportunity to influence the technical decisions for your team and for the department at large. We constantly aim at improving our processes, architectures and technologies, to face the ever-growing opportunities in front of us, and you could be the individual to help us on that journey! Someone who can be a professional technical sparring partner for our Product Manager and Product Designer, would do well in this role. 

As a Tech Lead, you will have a great level of responsibility and autonomy, where you will facilitate strategic technical decisions, prototype and test hypotheses with the team and internal customers quickly, effectively launch and present consumer content and iterate to achieve product-market-fit. In your role, you will:

  • Design, implement and deliver highly scalable solutions based on modern cloud-based architectures
  • Work in a cross-functional “full ownership” team alongside Product & Design, where you will take part in every step of the process of building consumer content from ideation and design to architecture, code, deployment and maintenance 
  • Closely partner with product managers, designers and other engineers to deliver simple yet high impact designs and solutions
  • Focus on continuous optimizations/iterations using an methodical approach
  • Define and pursue the team’s strategy, improvements & shape the future direction 
  • Improve the technical quality of the team’s work, through mentoring, process improvements, code reviews etc
  • Partner with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders across the organization to define high impact solutions and deliver high-quality systems and pipelines
  • Be accountable for technical specifications and execution in the daily work of the team
  • Mentor Engineers to develop their technical skills

We are looking for people with:

  • Background in developing robust and scalable web solutions
  • Experience with modern cloud architectures (serverless, event-driven)
  • You bring solid technical skills and an ability to work across backend, frontend, and infrastructure management code
  • Proficiency in engineering best practices (CI/CD, observability, configuration management, test automation)
  • Proven experience with at least one programming language (JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, etc.)
  • Great analytical and critical thinking skills, combined with the ability to present your ideas clearly and compellingly in both verbal and written form
  • Experience communicating closely with users and other technical teams
  • Familiarity with agile ways of working
  • Ability to be pragmatic, get things done, and pick up new tools and technologies quickly
  • Motivation to deliver quality results in an agile, collaborative, ever-evolving environment
  • Experience with Druid is a bonus
