Data Analyst - Subscriptions

Twitch Commerce is a mission-driven organization that helps creators earn a living on Twitch by building, launching, and managing revenue products that delight creators and viewers. The Analyst’s primary focus will be partnering with business, product, and engineering to rapidly launch and analyze the impact of customer-facing products and features. In a given week, the Analyst may use SQL/Python/R to analyze customer data and  product performance, partner with engineering to design and launch feature experiments, create compelling data visualizations, and size new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have significant expertise with SQL and large data sets, A/B testing and experimentation, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and experience working with subscription products. He or she will thrive working collaboratively with business, product, and engineering to ship products in a dynamic environment. As one of the first analyst hires on the growing Subscriptions team, the Data Analyst will have a direct impact on products enjoyed by millions of creators and viewers every day.


  • Collaborate with business, product, and engineering to rapidly execute and iterate on a roadmap of growth-oriented product/feature launches
  • Partner with engineering to setup event tracking and ensure our databases are capturing the information we need to make data-driven decisions
  • Analyze results of product/feature launches, extracting actionable insights for business, product, and engineering
  • Identify key metrics and create executive-facing dashboards to track customer acquisition, engagement, and retention
  • Build financial models to estimate and assess the impact of new product launches


  • Expert SQL skills. Your ability to tap into our data pipeline will be key to your success. 
  • 2-4 years of experience using data analysis to drive business decisions (e.g., product analytics in tech, BizOps in tech, management consulting)
  • Ability to communicate the results of your analyses clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with product analytics, including building performance dashboards
  • Established track record of working independently and proactively engaging with business, product, and engineering with minimal direction

Bonus Points

  • Experience using programming languages such as Python/R to conduct analyses of product experiments and customer data
  • Working knowledge of statistics
  • Experience building forward-looking financial models to assess new opportunities 
  • Domain expertise in subscriptions, including 2+ years working on a subscriptions product
