Clips is the Twitch service that brings you all the best moments from your favorite broadcasters, whether they’re funny, exciting, or just plain awesome. Broadcasters and fans use Clips to capture their best online moments and share it to help grow the audience and community.

Clips is looking for a frontend engineer to help contribute to key product roadmap items as well as setting the bar for our frontend infrastructure. Our team is a product focused team that builds the entire experience of creating, distributing and watching Clips on both mobile and web.

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be pivotal in the product development cycle, ship new features and collaborate with others in key decisions around product and engineering needs. We value experience building scalable web applications as well as having a sense for design and UX. Come help grow our broadcasters by building out a new wave of content on Twitch.


  • You’ll brainstorm with designers, backend engineers and product managers to design and release new features
  • You’ll design and specify the frontend components and architecture for these features
  • You’ll lead frontend engineers to define the architecture around these products and ship polished features, balancing product and engineering tradeoffs
  • You’ll help grow the technical skills of other engineers on the team through direct mentorship, code and design reviews, and writing documentation
  • You’ll identify and uphold frontend engineering best practices


  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
  • 3+ years of experience building consumer-facing web applications
  • Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling (ES6, React, Redux, etc.)
  • Experience designing large-scale web applications built with modern technologies
  • Experience with modern browser technologies and cross-browser compatibility issues
  • Strong sensibilities for UX and design
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Bonus Points

  • A degree in Computer Science or equivalent academic background
  • Hands on experience building services using Amazon Web Services
  • Avid user of Twitch or passion for video games
