As a Risk Assessment Analyst within the Risk team, you will be given the opportunity to assess and make risk based decisions on potential Tyro Merchants. You will liase with different business stakeholders and learn the key risk controls and risk frameworks.

Main Duties:

  • Risk assess and decision applications for new/additional merchant facilities and other linked products, in line with policies and procedures
  • Risk assess material in-life change events associated with merchant facilities and other linked products, in line with policies and procedures
  • Maintain ongoing communication with sales and account management colleagues regarding risk assessment decisions, and liaise with customers as applicable
  • Engage in cross training to support other payments risk functions such as chargebacks and fraud management
  • Participate in Risk Management projects as required.
  • Risk assess eCommerce opportunities and understand the risks associated with different eCommerce transactions

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in merchant acquiring, preferably in application assessment

Desirable Skills:

  • A sound understanding of the mechanics of card payments, particularly acquiring
  • A sound understanding of KYC principles and different entity types
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and an ability to embrace systems associated with merchant assessment and monitoring
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organised and able to meet deadlines.
