The Senior Reliability Test Engineer position in the Reliability Testing group will be the point of contact and taking ownership for developing and executing RDT and ORT test plan activities in support of the all Lidar products. Candidate must have some knowledge of Automotive Electronic Hardware with Optical Components, reliability stress test methodology, and product quality best practices to effectively deliver to the production/operation team the RDT and ORT findings and subsequent corrective action and improvement plan. Good understanding and experience in reliability and validation testing of Electronic Hardware are required. The candidate will be a self-starter with minimal day-to-day supervision in working with Quality & Reliability groups for delivery of RDT and ORT testing results, monitoring and reporting weekly progress of test items, test plan as well as having the initiative and sense of ownership to follow up on action items to resolution.

Job Responsibilities

  •  The candidate should support the purchase, development, build-up and installation of the test equipment with her/his experience
  • Write up Test Plan, testing procedure, Compile Reliability Test data, and write up Reliability Test Report cover all the customer (automotive) requirements
  • The candidate has to analyze existing test procedures and improve them
  • Perform routine Reliability Tests (Temperature Stress, Mechanical Stress, Electrical Stress, and Chemical Stress)
  • Perform statistical data analysis after Reliability Tests and provide Reliability assessments of Mature Products
  • Work with the FA team to perform failure analysis and determine the root cause


Required Skills and Experience:

  • BS degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering
  • 5-7 years of quality and reliability experience working with automatic electronic hardware and its components
  • Good understanding with various Reliability Test Equipment
  • Ability to write RDT and ORT plan, test report, execute and contributes to validation of engineering specifications.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Good knowledge of digital electronics and circuits, various bench systems (i.e. oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and IOmeters) is desirable
  • Good knowledge of the ISO 9001 is a must, TS 16949 is preferred
