The engineering team at Virgin Hyperloop is responsible for the design and development of all the vehicle mechanical subsystems such as chassis, fairings, mechanical actuators, packaging of components as well as infrastructure, track, portals and all mechanism needed to make the hyperloop product a reality. We are seeking candidates with a strong continuous process improvement skillset to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals at our Los Angeles facility.  


  • Collaborate with engineering leaders and program managers to identify areas for improvements within engineering processes and activities
  • Lead various process improvement projects
  • Leverage expertise in each engineering disciplines to drive projects to completion
  • In collaboration with the engineer leaders, develop performance management metrics to drive increase efficiency
  • Communicate regularly with engineering leadership on project progress
  • Support as needed the System Simulation and Modeling to improve on simulation and emulation tool integration
  • Support the systems engineering team in deployment and utilization of the model based system engineering platform.
  • Organize and lead engineering strategic planning sessions


Candidates must be able to quickly identify opportunities for improvement and thrive in a fast-paced environment. In addition, the candidate must possess the following:

  • B.S. in an Engineering field
  • 3+ years of experience in continuous process improvement and/or engineering operational excellence
  • Experience using lean principles and tools
  • Proven track records in improving performance in engineering organizations
  • Experience in visual performance management
  • Created dashboard and metrics
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with a wide audience from engineers to executives
  • Experience in full product lifecycle management


  • Graduate degree in Engineering or business process management
  • Teamcenter experience
  • Six Sigma belt certification (Green to Black)


  • Authorized to work in the U.S
