As a Senior Director in the Issuing Solutions product development team, you will manage the delivery of multiple, key initiatives within the Platform Development organization. Located in Highlands Ranch, CO the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the design, development, and support of multiple applications across several hardware platforms.   This position will have responsibility of day-to-day management of a team of delivery leaders and lead technical engineers.  This position will report to the VP of Architecture and Platform Development.

As a key member of the leadership team, the candidate should be comfortable with driving technical ideas and communicating clearly with technical as well as non-technical audiences. In this role, you will have the ability to grow and develop a best-in-class engineering team, while playing an important part in shaping our strategy and future direction.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Build, and maintain a high-performing engineering organization focused on delivering efficiently with high standards of quality, fostering innovation, leveraging new technologies while upholding a strong customer centered mindset.

  • Develop strategies and roadmaps to meet business objectives with existing or emerging technologies in your area.

  • Responsible for the overall development lifecycle of the products and services contributing to the development of the Issuing Solutions platform.

  • Apply creative thinking/approach to determine technical solutions while working with architecture and the technical leads that further business goals and align with our technology strategy.

  • Lead your teams in developing best in class solutions supported by stringent operational requirements around performance, reliability, security, scale and cost.

  • Provide resource plans, budget tracking and forecasting. Manage the team to achieve target scope, schedule, and cost objectives.

  • Instill best practices for software development, driving for engineering excellence by applying the appropriate investment in automation, quality, and efficiency.

  • Build a strong culture focused on positive outcomes, while maintaining a high level of engagement from the team.

  • Responsible for overall operational quality, and working with our partners in support, cyber, operations to ensure client success remains front and center.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
• 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience. BS or MS in Computer Science or related degree from an accredited university.
• 14+ years of experience in technology related roles. 5+ years as a people leader, leading product development activities would be a plus.
• Proven experience leading or developing solutions on or with the following technologies:
• Java
• .Net
• Linux
• Microsoft Windows
• Traditional/Non-Traditional Database Platforms
• APIs, Caching and other Integration technologies.
• Foundational understanding of using Software to Integrate systems.
• Well versed in managing in an Agile delivery setting.
• Familiarity with Scaled Agile with direct experience/certification a preferred.
• Sound understanding of building operational excellence into technology solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, experienced in working with executives.
• Passionate about people development through coaching and mentoring.
• Experience in supporting multiple applications in production, maintaining a sustained, high-level of operational excellence.
• Able to spot patterns and relationships in information and events, clarifying and simplifying complex information, anticipating trends and possibilities that may lead to new business opportunities.
• Must be comfortable with decision making, executing on plans with flexibility, while keeping the strategic objective/vision in alignment.
• Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills with the ability to work in a globally dispersed environment across multiple, cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Payment Processing or Financial Services systems is advantageous.

COLORADO APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Colorado is 144,100 USD to 198,100 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for annual bonus and equity.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
