The BI Solutions group within Data Products organization works with internal business teams to enable faster decision-making, data democratization and self-service through building innovative, scalable best-in-class dashboarding and reporting solutions. Our goal is to empower and enable business partners to glean valuable insights from Visa's unique global data assets. Our BI developers are critical members of the team that supports Visa's global organization.
We are looking for a Principal Solutions Manager, BI Solutions who is comfortable engaging with business owners, data geeks and technology teams alike and has strong experience in translating business needs into measurable outcomes. This manager will be expected to be hands-on, focused on using data to drive business decisions and is passionate about building effective and engaging visualizations to support Global Visa Direct business. The manager is expected to possess strong collaboration and influencing skills to effectively lead cross-functional teams to drive deliverables, projects and engagements to completion.
4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD degree
7-10 years of work experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or 6 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 years of experience with a PhD
UR Only: MBA/ PhD degree without experience
Education or experience with analytics/BI in banking/payments industry as well as understanding of payments industry data and metrics is desirable
Skilled in developing scalable dashboards using Tableau/other visualization tools and structuring data behind them to drive optimal performance. Experience connecting Tableau to Hadoop datasets through Hive or Datameer or similar toolset
Strong SQL skills, exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to execute fast-paced and dynamic projects in a highly organized manner on a tight schedule
Good listening and communication skills to understand core business problem internal partners are trying to solve
Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
Must work well in highly collaborative, matrixed and team oriented environment
Strategic and analytical ability to synthesize and organize data/information into actionable recommendations with clear customer and shareholder impact
Own and execute the roadmap for the suite of KPIs, reports and dashboards for Global Visa Direct
Manage a team of 2 contractors to build scalable reporting capabilities for users across the globe
Develop deep partnership with the product team and be the thought-partner for defining KPIs for new initiatives and product capabilities
Become an expert in Visa data and sources to quickly determine the best way to put information together
Collaborate with the broader BI Solutions, platform team and Technology to develop, optimize and align BI solutions to meet business needs
Incumbent must make themselves available during core business

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds
