Visa Global Product Design is seeking a Sr. Design Researcher with strong capabilities in user research and the design of engaging user experiences. The Sr. Design Researcher will create, improve, and lead UX strategy for B2B, consumer, and employee-facing applications for web/mobile.

This individual is confidently able to justify research and design decisions based on a thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design methodologies and can represent the team successfully with all types of stakeholders.
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
4+ years of relevant professional experience.
Knowledge of Usability Testing tools and techniques.
Ability to evaluate a website or application based on a given script or set of guidelines and produce a clear and concise recommendations deliverable.
Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
Fully fluent in English and able to understand and be easily understood in spoken and written English.
Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
Ability to analyze written requirements and visually conceptualize the user interface and application flows.
Understanding of UX and the design techniques and principles involved in the production of conceptual prototypes, wireframes, and HTML Prototypes.
Experience facilitating design thinking workshops.
Experience managing stakeholder relationships.
Knowledge of Web Standards and Accessibility a plus.
Knowledge of Audio and Video editing tools a plus.
Knowledge of Omnigraffle, Sketch & Adobe products a plus.
Experience with eyetracking a plus.
Work closely with product managers to create UX strategies driven by business goals & priorities
Propose & carry out UX research roadmaps
Lead design thinking workshops
Analyze existing software (web and mobile) for usability issues and provide recommendations for improvement
Manage stakeholder relationships
Plan & lead usability tests (web and mobile)
Plan & lead UX studies using techniques such as surveys, interviews, tree tests, and card sorting
Quickly propose possible solutions to UX issues to guide design
Create user flows and wireframes occasionally as necessary
Work and communicate effectively with a diverse team of product owners, UX designers, and developers
This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
