Staff Software Engineer - Connex ATM Terminal Driving

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the manager of ATM Development. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and expertise within the Connex ATM Frame work. As a Staff SW Engineer, you will assess the present design and capabilities of DPS ATM driving and expanding the present code base, to provide innovative solutions, for DPS ATM capabilities. You will be taking leadership roles working on multiple projects and work as an integral part of a cross-functional development team. This collaborative, team-based role will require a close working relationship with Product owners, Software Architects, Quality Assurance, Technical Writers, and other Software Engineers.
Design, build or maintain HP NonStop servers in TAL within the existing Connex framework.
Work with ATM Product Management to translate product requirements into functional and technical designs.
Create designs for consumption by team.
Produce estimates for projects based on requirements.
Identify problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback and correct problems.
Evaluate code to ensure it is valid, meets industry standards and is compatible with devices and/or operating systems.
Confer with management or development teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, and help choose solutions.
Coach and mentor junior team members and help them grow professionally.
- 4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD degree
7-10 years of work experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or 6 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 years of experience with a PhD.
7-10 years of related experience working on BASE24 or Connex ATM driving Frame Work.
7-10 years related experience coding interfaces with Diebold (Agilis, VISTA) ATM’s.
7-10 years related experience coding interfaces with NCR (Aptra Edge, AIT, IC/USN).
Experience working with Nautilus ATM’s.
Experience and understanding of Stateless ATM’s.
In depth knowledge of HP NonStop and Guardian OS required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills required.
Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
Understand component analysis, including code and data flow review.
