Visa Resolve Online (VROL) is a web-based application and a System Interface (Application Programming Interface) of real time and batch that enforces the rules and workflow of disputes for Visa Clients. VROL is a mandated service that is crucial to the Visa brand promise of providing secure and reliable payment services. The system ensures that cardholders, merchants, and financial institutions have a clear dispute process, and makes resolution of disputed transactions fast and easy. As a member of the Network Processing VROL Level3 Development Team you will:
Be responsible for third and fourth level support for incident management activities for the Visa Resolve Online program in both production and client certification environments
Conduct business and technical analysis, code reviews and unit testing, and produce technical documentation of solutions for new development, system enhancements, and Operations
Ability to work in both Agile rapid release and waterfall development cycles
Develop, Build and implement software systems and/or applications and enhancements to existing software, including the development of debugging routines.
Collaborate closely and foster partnerships with Operations, Development, and Test Engineering teams to fast track issue resolutions, and ensure efficient use of resources
Analyze production and certification system incidents and identify, develop, and provide workarounds for urgent production issues
Analyze Production and member testing defects, report, identify root cause and implement the solution following release SDLC life cycle in Scrum and Waterfall
Participate in production implementations, providing all necessary support to ensure successful resolution of issues
Determine root cause for issues, and propose changes to designs and enhancements to prevent similar issues in the future
Develop and maintain application features, enhancements, tools and utilities including automation and enhanced monitoring
Develop production statistics and patterns by leveraging various tools to refine technical roadmap and process improvements for VROL program, working with Architecture and SME groups
Help drive continuous improvement around processes and technical capabilities
2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) in financial services industry working on payments domain
Strong written and verbal communication, problem solving, client service, and soft skills
Ability to identify and deliver creative and innovative solutions for challenges and constraints
Strong programming skills, including experience with Java, J2EE
Expertise on Spring framework, Spring boot, and Java Script libraries including Angular/React
Strong knowledge of RDBMS databases like DB2 or MySQL and NoSQL Databases like Cassandra or HBASE, and PL/SQL along with ability to write and run complex SQL queries
Experience in JBoss Drools, Jasper Reports, IBM MQBroker or Apache Kafka, Apache Spark
Strong Technical knowledge and understanding of web services and Micro Services using REST and SOAP with JSON
Ability to understand CloverETL Graphs or ETL Jobs and make modifications.
Strong Knowledge of continuous Integration using Jenkins and Gradle scripts and Continuous Deployment pipeline
Hands-on experience with scripting in Linux environment
Familiarity with tools like Splunk or OpNet (App Internals) for log verification and performance analysis
Ability to deliver results on multiple priorities in a complex and fast-moving environment with ability to work independently and manage time effectively and efficiently
- This position requires the incumbent to be available during core business hours.
- This position requires the incumbent to travel for work less than 10% of the time.
- This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
