Cybersource Visa’s digital merchant and acquirer payment management platform, with industry leading global processing connectivity, risk and fraud management, and payment acceptance solutions. Cybersource is a strategic distribution platform for Visa products and services, and a critical value-added service for merchants and acquirers accepting many payment methods globally.

Regional Solutions Management is the strategy and solutioning team that works with the regional sales, business development and marketing teams to understand market trends and opportunities and key client needs, and to develop product investment and go-to-market plans. The North America (NA) Regional Solutions Manager (RSM) serves as a liaison between Sales and Product, developing strategy and driving delivery of compelling solutions for our client segments and verticals.

This role reports to the head of NA Regional Solutions Management, a new function based on the successful RSM model in other regions. The successful candidate will be instrumental supporting the creation of effective relationships and excellent processes that move the needle towards Cybersource’s ambitious goals in North America.

Essential Functions

Solution Strategy & Design

  • Support efforts to evolve overall Cybersource solution strategy/prioritization within the region and to establish business sponsorship and define execution criteria
  • Support creation/design of new specific solutions that generate significant revenue contribution for the region and overall organization
  • Support the ongoing solution prioritization process for new, proposed initiatives to create fact based assessments of the projects to provide recommendations for Executive Leadership
  • Develop and maintain regional solutions roadmap informed by the solution prioritization process and underlying product capability builds and specific project efforts
  • Conduct regional competitive and regulatory intelligence activities to evaluate competitors’ activities and implications to inform senior executive decision-making
  • Engage and coordinate cross-functional teams to understand the opportunity, review the health of the overall business, identify opportunities for growth, address issues to develop and structure an overall solution value proposition and initial proposal/definition
  • Create and update financial models and business cases to define business rationale and financial impact of investment of proposed solutions
  • Thought leadership: You will continuously challenge the status quo and you will be relentless in your focus to initiate and drive change

Commercialization

  • Maintain close relationships with key merchant and acquirer business contacts and end-users to proactively solicit feedback on features, functionality, services and future requirements.
  • Author content on closed customer and public forums
  • Lead regional commercialization for new solutions across functional disciplines to ensure a successful launch
  • Participate in the commercialization process for new launches including further solution design, pricing, packaging, sales training and develop criteria/operational processes for piloting new launches where appropriate
  • Maintain commercialization plans that drive CYBS and Visa's competitive advantage and revenue growth agenda for core and emerging products (including ecommerce, mobile and alternative payments) across the region

Basic Qualifications
• 8 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or at least 5 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD or MD), or a minimum of 2 years of work experience with a PhD
• Understanding of the payments industry
• Knowledge of information technology and software-as-a-service

Preferred Qualifications
• 9 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD or MD), or a minimum of 3 years of work experience with a PhD
• Experience with a payment gateway, payment facilitator, merchant acquirer or financial technology company

This position is open to locations in Bellevue, WA, Austin, TX and the Bay Area.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
