Senior Manager of Business Release Management will play a critical role leading a team of talented professionals and engage directly with divisional leadership, development teams and project managers within Technology and with Client Services to successfully implement large scale software releases. The candidate would be a technology leader with substantial experience in program and project management of large-scale implementations and demonstrated ability to lead, grow and retain high-caliber talent.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the program management of the semi-annual (April and October) and quarterly (July and January) Business Enhancement Releases that include a portfolio of 90 – 110 projects with a budget of over $45M annually.  Work in close partnership with the development and project management organizations and Client Services to ensure successful release implementation. Contribute thought leadership and best practices for large scale technology implementations.

  • Responsible for configuring and orchestrating Virtual Command Centers to support the Business Enhancement Releases, the Payment Products Major Incident Response Plan, and Command Centers for major project roll outs.

  • Responsible for the oversight of the Front Door function in the Payment Products Development division.

  • Lead efforts on our team with the use of new technology tools, process improvements and efficiencies, dashboards. This involves defining requirements, tools selection, and working with teams as required to implement and drive forward the new solutions.

  • Lead innovation efforts to increase efficiencies and automate manual processes.


Basic Qualifications:

• 8 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related technical discipline, or at least 5 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA), or a minimum of 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

• 9 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related technical discipline, or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA), or a minimum of 3 years of work experience with a PhD
• 8+ years of proven experience managing technically complex projects and programs
• Solid understanding of project and program management techniques, methodologies, and best practices, especially as they relate to large scale software implementations
• Strong project and program management skills
• Proven ability to mentor/manage and motivate a team of experienced technologists and set clear priorities to achieve the team’s goals
• Highly effective interpersonal skills with an ability to partner with a dynamic senior leadership team and stakeholders across Technology and Client Services organizations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to think strategically
• Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills, SharePoint expertise
• Payments Processing experience is a plus.
