We are looking for a data scientist to help build and execute data screening and QA programs to power our geospatial data management platform (gDMP). You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the standard of data quality and completeness at Vistar.
- Be the driving force behind Vistar’s growing geospatial data management platform.
- Build and execute QA process to ensure highest standard of data quality and completeness.
- Define and develop key metrics to monitor quality of incoming data streams.
- Work with internal teams to create data visualizations for presenting data-based recommendations.
- Share best practices with analytics and product to drive efficiency and help foster a data-driven culture at the company.
- Proficiency with Python, R and SQL, Spark/Hadoop a plus.
- Strong knowledge of advanced quantitative analysis, statistical modeling, machine learning, and open source tools.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple internal teams of engineers, product managers, and analysts to understand their needs.
- Comfort and experience working with big data.
- Experience with database design and management, including SQL and graph databases.
- Experience with AWS/EMR.
