The Opportunity at Volta Charging 
We are seeking a Director, Brand Partnerships to help shape Volta’s vision by using brand-direct media sales experience, excellent communication skills, and analytical abilities, fueled by your passion for making a difference. As a core part of a growing Sales Team, you will not only help companies leverage Volta’s smart technology platform to reach key audiences but help forward thinking companies grow and transform communities. This is a key leadership role representing Volta and building long term strategic marketing partnerships directly with leading global brands. 

This position is focused on client-direct relationships and will be based in Los Angeles reporting to VP of Media Sales, West.

After twelve months, you will have accomplished

  • Developing and executing a strategic account approach, navigating all key stakeholders at the leading global brands building new and lasting client partnerships where Volta is a true thought partner and not a media vendor
  • Developing a strong understanding of the client’s business and demonstrating how the Volta offering can assist them to achieve their sustainability and business growth goals
  • Conducting storytelling presentations that highlight Volta’s unique value proposition
  • Meeting/exceeding expectations to identify, qualify, and cold call prospective clients, building a robust pipeline, and closing business
  • Consistently meeting or exceeding individual quarterly sales targets
  • Leveraging established relationships with key decision makers on the client side to maximize revenue potential
  • Effectively identifying trends in the marketplace and sharing internally with sales management, marketing, and product teams
  • Partnering with Account Management, Marketing, Research, Product and Client Service teams to achieve client's objectives
  • Effectively reporting on territory account development and sales progress via Salesforce

  • 10+ years relevant media sales experience
  • Forward thinker, entrepreneurial by nature, proactive, high energy and high integrity work habits
  • Experience working in fast-paced, start-up/growth stage company
  • Goal-oriented personality with a commitment to team success
  • In-depth experience and relevant network within the Western region
  • Strategic media sales experience including the ability to convey Volta’s unique value and effectively sell our media & technology platform
  • Customer Focus: reputation for being an enthusiastic, energetic, effective networker and one who translates those relationships into value for the company
  • Building Networks: Track record of developing brand relationships and driving new media revenue
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as great listening skills
  • Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and operate in an open and fluid environment
  • Proficient in MS Office, Keynote, G-Suite and Salesforce or similar CRM
