About the role:

As an Engineering Manager with the Cloud Platform Engineering group, you will manage the Development Experience team. This group of engineers is responsible for our internal tools that power the development, test, and sandbox environments; empowering our overall engineering team to quickly develop, verify, and collaborate with their cross-discipline teams on the features that make our platform the best in its industry.

What you’ll do:

  • Create new internal tools to enable efficient developer operations
  • Instrument, automate, and optimize our state-of-the-art infrastructure
  • Evaluate and deploy new technology, tools, and processes to the team
  • Provide technical and professional direction and guidance to team members
  • Identify and unblock issues impeding the team
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Understand multiple team goals and provide DevEx team coordination to ensure appropriate support and avoid conflicting efforts.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience with container orchestration technology 
  • Profound appreciation and respect for automation
  • Strong understanding of a programming language (Ruby, Python, Typescript etc.)
  • Experience being on-call for production services before
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborates well with other Engineering leaders to ensure alignment
  • Deep understanding of the power of DevOps
