We are seeking Automotive Service Dispatcher for our reconditioning facility, who is responsible for dispatching and writing repair orders to technicians; verifying complaints; receiving estimates; monitoring technicians workload; managing open tickets; giving status updates to production managers and sales team; invoicing paperwork; correcting errors in repair orders; and preparing documentation for the end of pay period. This is a 2nd shift role, working hours are: Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11:30pm.

Responsibilities

  • Ascertains automotive problems and services by understanding description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules.
  • Verifies claims prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; entering RO into service database system.
  • Maintains technician and vendor rapport by controlling workflow for production; managing technician’s priorities; obtaining and providing contact information; answering questions and concerns; updating management and sales with status of vehicle repairs.
  • Maintains automotive records and provide management with necessary data for efficiency reports.
  • Continuously educate technicians on process changes and priority changes; share information by participating in meetings; manage a team of technicians in regards to work-load and preparing paperwork for pay.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid and Unrestricted Driver’s License
  • Technical or Trade School Degree (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Automotive Industry
  • Broad scope of automotive mechanical/ electrical knowledge (preferred)
  • Basic to Intermediate computer and internet skills
  • Able to operate standard office machines and equipment
  • Strong customer and team skills, both oral and written
  • Detailed oriented, able to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Availability to work Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11:30pm
