We are currently seeking a Quality Control Team Lead for our reconditioning facility in Stafford, to ensure every car delivered is ready to impress our customers. The incumbent in this role will supervise the quality control inspectors that help certify Vroom vehicles to our standard, will play a key role in helping achieve production goals and provide support to the sales team, business office and purchasing teams.

This is a full time role located in Stafford, TX and reporting to the Quality Control Manager. This is a 2nd shift role, working hours are: Monday- Friday 2:30pm - 11:30pm.


  • Perform thorough inspections of pre-owned vehicles (approximately 1,000 per month)
  • Document and record inspection findings in appropriate forms
  • Assist in continuously developing inspection instructions and procedures
  • Supervise the work of other inspectors and ensure high standards are set and maintained
  • Lead inspection associates to achieve production targets
  • Maintain staffing levels, training and development of associates
  • Participate and make recommendations in the screening/hiring and development of associates
  • Communicate expectations and provide feedback to inspection associates, as well as to sales associates, reconditioning team leads, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure proper inventory levels of all materials, equipment and vendor supplies needed
  • Ensure inspection records are complete and accurate, compliant with good documentation practices, filed in a timely manner, and maintained per Vroom standards
  • Provide exceptional customer service

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management


  • 3-5 years of quality control experience required
  • Some management or supervisor experience preferred
  • Successful career progression with increasing roles of responsibility
  • Experience successfully working in operations for a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of solving complex problems in unclear or challenging conditions
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which may include nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be comfortable working in a combination of indoor/outdoor work environments; noisy situations and/or inclement weather conditions
  • Requires walking or standing for extended periods of time
  • Requires various schedules including nights, weekends, holidays and 12-hour days
  • Must be able to operate automatic and manual transmissions
  • Availability to work Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11:30pm
