Vroom is currently seeking a Senior Accountant of Financial Reporting. This role will primarily focus on external reporting, technical accounting issues, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation, tie-out, and coordination of financial information and disclosures in the Company’s annual and quarterly financial information, including footnotes disclosures, financial tables, MDA and other public presentations such as press releases and investor presentations.
Assist with the preparation of annual and quarterly disclosures checklist
Assist with the coordination of year-end external audits and interim reviews as needed.
Working directly with various teams to obtain and ensure accuracy of disclosures, including Accounting, Legal, Tax and Treasury.
Assist with research of technical accounting matters, new pronouncements and SEC rules and regulations; assisting with drafting accounting memos.
Assist with preparing and updating accounting policies and internal controls documentation related to financial reporting; ensuring compliance with policies and procedures in accordance with SOX requirements.
Assist with the testing of internal controls.
Continuously monitor, recommend, and implement process improvement initiatives to increase effectiveness and productivity
Assist with various other ad hoc projects.

Qualifications

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with 3 years of experience within Big 4 accounting firms.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Advance knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting.
Proactive and self-motivated accounting professional, able to think independently.
Ability to prioritize and multitasks successfully, while paying close attention to details.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
