WePay is looking for an Site Reliability Engineer - Embedded Applications to help play a crucial role in deploying and managing our best in breed Risk as a service offering. As a Site Reliability Engineer - Embedded Applications you will have the chance to bring a brand new Risk Engine to life by helping to build a new microservice based Risk engine to replace our current monolith implementation. You will be able to work with Google Cloud using kubernetes for the scheduler as well as for the services. You will help build models based on known fraudulent behavior and be able to deploy them regularly. The nature of the data as it is is quite large and very sensitive, so it needs to be handled appropriately and you would be responsible for ensuring that is the case.
Here at WePay, we embed our application Site Reliability Engineers into three engineering divisions. This allows the Site Reliability Engineers to keep context with the day to day issues of the their dedicated team as well as helps fosters a team mentality where the Site Reliability Engineers work with the application engineers to deliver solutions. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Know your way around a Unix shell
- Can debug complex problems across the whole stack
- Have experience designing, building, and operating large-scale productions systems
- Experience with Python, Java, Scala or Go
- Experience with open-source databases (MySQL, Postgres, Redis, or others)
WHAT IS EXPECTED IN THE INTERVIEW?
