WeWork is seeking a Sales Manager to help lead its medium & large business sales efforts in the Tri-State region. The Sales Manager will work closely with the Sales Director in their region to grow sales in NY market.

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of Account executives in support of WeWork’s medium & large business revenue strategy and targets. You will be responsible to guide and coach them to success, helping them achieve their individual quotas. You will have a player-coach mentality and can build, coach and develop a team of passionate and successful closers.

The successful candidate brings a proven track record of consultative sales and complex contract negotiations; experience building and leading sales teams; the ability to articulate WeWork’s strategy and vision to a variety of audiences; and a willingness to embrace disruptive, fast-paced technology companies.  This is a unique opportunity to build the structure and pipeline of an untapped market who are looking to address the evolving needs of their employee culture and real estate footprint.


  • Build, motivate, coach, and assist a sales team and it’s members in all phases of the selling process to achieve agreed-upon targets and performance metrics.

  • Develop and execute sales plans and coordinate sales efforts to achieve new customer revenue

  • Meets or exceeds defined sales quota through strategic account planning, networking, and use of company resources.

  • Ensure operational excellence in the day-to-day management of the business including forecasting, pipeline development, training, hiring, performance management and team collaboration.

  • Develop and implement best practices to maximize pipeline creation, conversion rates, forecasting accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Work with various internal teams to drive member satisfaction to ensure opportunities for additional business growth.

  • Collaborate with our Physical Product group to provide input on layout, design, and construction of spaces that are optimized for members.

  • Provide strong leadership, mentorship, vision and direction.

  • Builds and cultivates strong relationship with stakeholders across several departments to align on priorities

  • Strong team player who can make decisions and excels in a fast paced, ever changing environment

  • Serves as point person to help project manage new building openings across the city

  • Oversee, assist, and close complex, and high-value transactions.

  • SME and thought-leader of market-trends to drive WeWork’s approach to hitting revenue targets.

  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of the WeWork offerings while staying current in understanding the competitive landscape and industry trends.


  • 7+ years of sales experience, and 3+ years of sales management experience,

  • Proven success scaling out a Sales team and consultative sales success in establishing effective relationships with key decision-makers.

  • A natural leader who prides themselves on their ability to inspire others

  • Problem solver who can independently translate high level goals into actionable plans

  • Demonstrated ability to continuously increase effectiveness of team, recognizing opportunities for creating new systems, structures, and processes.

  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce reporting and dashboards, and highly focused on numbers and process.

  • Proven track record working in a high-growth, fast pace environment

  • Strong executive presence - experience and comfort level working with C-level and executives
