Why is this interesting?
The global accommodations industry is worth more than $1T/year, but it hasn’t kept up with the needs of today’s modern traveler. 
Hotels are great for small groups traveling for 1-2 nights at a time, but hotels don’t work as well for longer stays and larger groups. 
Our guests stay with us for 2 days, 2 weeks, 2 months, or longer, in versatile properties designed to accommodate many traveler types and groups sizes.  We’re proud to earn review scores higher than nearly every luxury hotel from guests who seek our properties out in 8+ domestic markets.
In 2018, we have the foundation to economically and efficiently grow 10x, both domestically and internationally.

Head of Sales:

Our Real Estate team is responsible for securing partnerships with large real estate companies to lease and operate blocks of units in their buildings. This is the primary driver of our company’s growth.
Real Estate is an old school industry driven by relationships and handshakes. Our concept is innovative and new (much as Uber and Airbnb were early on), and to sell it well we need articulate, entrepreneurial people with a challenger sale mentality. The white space and the opportunity in the industry is massive, and we typically sell against the status quo, not against a competitor.
We’re looking for a seasoned sales leader to grow the existing team. The team is 5 people today (all based in SF HQ) and is expected to grow by 2-3x in 2018, mostly with outside reps based in-market around the US.
This role will be part of the company’s leadership team, working side by side with the CEO, COO, and the leaders of Product, Engineering, Brand, Finance, Field Operations, and Hospitality/Customer Experience.
What you'll do:
  • Design the future org structure of the team, and hire great people to fill open roles
  • Work directly with Co-founder/COO to identify target markets and building criteria
  • Put together a comprehensive sales plan to grow the company’s real estate portfolio
  • Train and manage the team to prospect to large real estate companies and deliver on the company’s growth targets each month
  • Organize the sales pipeline in our CRM (Salesforce) and train the team to use it effectively 
  • Create relationships with the largest real estate companies in the US to close deals
  • Work with our product and technology teams to improve the quality of our real estate analytics platform based on your experience in the field
  • Represent the company at key real estate conferences around the country 
  • Deliver Parallel’s pitch to real estate industry leaders both in private meetings and industry events
We're looking for someone who:
  • Is a seasoned, process driven sales manager
  • Has a track record of managing teams that consistently beat sales quotas
  • Has experience in commercial real estate (ideally has multifamily experience and senior industry contacts)
  • Is a people person: charismatic, passionate, and great at building relationships
  • Can build and lead a geographically dispersed sales team
  • Has strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Has an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Thrives in a fast paced environment
  • Has an interest in and appreciation for data and software
  • Is an excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Is excited to travel roughly 25% of the time
