Our PM for Guest Delight will be responsible for this. This PM will work cross-functionally to define and deliver delightful, personalized, next-generation experiences to our guests that help turn Parallel into a true distributed hotel that rivals- and exceeds- today’s most successful hospitality brands.
Working directly with our VP of Product, this role will have a very broad scope, covering everything from our reservations website to future guest-focused mobile apps to our in-room, technology-enabled guest experience.
What you’ll be doing:
Gain a deep understanding of customer needs- both internal and external- through regular customer interaction and market research in pursuit of building the next-generation, delightful guest experience.
Manage the roadmap based on your understanding of needs to ensure the team focuses on what matters most when it matters most.
Drive new product/feature definition from end-to-end in close collaboration with design, engineering, and operations, including prototyping, validation, implementation, launch, and further iteration.
Motivate the team to ensure execution and delivery of product solutions, identifying the minimum viable product that can be shipped to validate your hypotheses while teasing out trade-offs and guiding the team in making critical product decisions.
Identify and analyze key metrics- both qualitative and quantitative- to assess the success of your team’s efforts and surface actionable product insights.
Ensure the ongoing quality of the product areas your team is responsible for.
We’re looking for someone with:
You’re an experienced product manager with at least 4 years of experience, having shipped successful products - on both mobile and desktop - from inception to release that both delight customers and meet core business / strategic needs.
You rank highly in terms of emotional intelligence, able to generate deep empathy with customers which, together with a sense of self-awareness, enables you to truly listen to product feedback.
You’re capable of ruthless prioritization and have a‘get stuff done’ attitude, filling the gaps across multiple disciplines when needed to achieve the goals that you’ve laid out.
You’re technically-oriented, able to garner the respect of engineers and capable of speaking to them in their own language.
You have innate product instincts and an eye for beautiful, effective design with a keen understanding of what the minimum viable product is to validate the hypotheses you’ve set out.
You’re skilled at defining, acquiring, and utilizing both qualitative and quantitative data to drive data-informed product decisions.
You have a leadership mindset, capable of motivating an all-star cross-functional team.
