Logistics Demand Planning Analyst - Intern/Co-op

As the Logistics Demand Analyst Intern, you will help drive initiatives around Logistics. You will
be responsible to develop and publish reporting tools to automate the on-going review
and analytics process for Demand Planning organization. This role also contributes to the
forecast development process through identification of data, reporting or analytics
improvement opportunities, and also by developing and maintaining on-going
performance tracking reports.

For this role, you must be a self-motivated, driven individual who is comfortable working
in a fast-paced environment.


  • Gather, validate, and interprets relevant data to fulfill demand planning models using
  • latest BI tools available
  • Build and continually adjust demand plan and inventory plan for lead times, safety
  • stock, seasonality, promotions, ideal inventory levels, etc
  • Work with suppliers to ensure capacity based on demand and order plans
  • Provide rolling forecast to suppliers to ensure consistent supply
  • Propose and manage warehouse-to- warehouse inventory transfers
  • Review customer forecasts and provides support feedback to the sales team
  • Keeps team apprised of overstock and potential out-of- stock situations
  • Serve as the main point of contact for account managers for inventory allocation, bid
  • proposals and ability to serve new accounts based on currently available inventory
  • Enhance inventory planning and demand planning models
  • Validate demand plans against actual to continuously improve demand forecast
  • Analyze the performance of suppliers in meeting orders, timeframes, or quality
  • Analyze the movement of goods through the supply pipeline and models supply chain
  • and logistics
  • Track performance of supply chain and logistics KPIs (inventory turns, fill rates, days of
  • inventory outstanding, planned costs vs actual costs, etc.)
  • Develop and distribute performance reports
  • Investigate problems, finds gaps and root causes, and develops solutions to reduce
  • Investigate and suggest ways to cut expenses, increase cash flow, and improve
  • inventory turns, customer satisfaction, process improvement, and employee
  • productivity
  • Provide analytical support for projects, new business opportunities, and proposals
  • Perform Ad hoc analyses and projects to support other departments


  • PhD’s, Master’s or MBA Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  • experience or evidence of exceptional ability
  • Experience in logistics and supply chain industry
  • Prior e-commerce or parcel experience a plus
  • Understanding of customs, tax, and duty requirements for international shipping
  • Strong communication with written reports, proposals, processes, and project
  • documentation.
  • Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to drive change with a long-term perspective across multiple functions and
  • transform the business
  • Ability to cope with a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Team player, self-motivated, result-oriented
