The primary responsibility of the Regional General Manager is to grow diners seated in their geographic region. They will be responsible for assessing the health of their market, setting the appropriate growth strategy, working with GTM teams (Marketing, Sales & Customer success) & internal partners (Strategic Operations, Community Managers, Product) to get buy in and execution of the strategy, and regularly report on progress to the GM and executive.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the ability to quickly understand the market’s health, prospect base and communicate the value of our Restaurant Marketplace products and the Yelp’s network to both diners and restaurants. This position requires a highly motivated and energetic individual who possesses the ability to create strategy that positively impacts the bottom line. Success will be measured on the person’s ability to generate supply & diner growth from top restaurants in their territory.
Build, lead & pivot a regional growth strategy for their assigned territories
Work closely in a cross departmental environment with Finance, Product, Engineering and Marketing teams to successfully achieve initiatives partnering with HQ
Motivate and leverage existing and new staff to continually up-level results and expectations to achieve increasingly higher levels of impact across all core operational metrics
Ability to assess metrics & pivot plans based on progress or roadblocks in market - strong communication and motivation skills to drive buy in to the new direction is a must
Identify additional upsell or pricing opportunities to increase ROI’s
Manage a cross functional team even if they do not directly report to you
Clear weekly, monthly & quarterly reporting to their teams and the Executive to communicate progress, return on investment and expectations
MBA or experience working with P&L in a start-up or recognized company
5+ years of hands on experience in project management, marketing, business analytics or operations
Restaurant experience a huge plus
Excellent communication, critical thinking and management skillsProven experience in influencing and driving business strategy
Track record of building teams and systems tied to success
Flexible schedule, this position will require weeknight and some weekend hours
