Yelp connects millions of people with great local businesses every day, and local businesses know it. More than 191,000 businesses subscribe to Yelp’s advertising products today, and those happy customers account for nearly all of our revenue. However, local business advertising is still a rapidly growing market, and there are millions of business owners who’ve claimed their Yelp profile and aren’t customers yet. That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a savvy and tenacious program manager to support and develop our Data Infrastructure organization. Our Data Infrastructure ecosystem powers critical machine learning, real-time notifications, sales and marketing engineering, experimentation and data warehousing use cases across Yelp. You will partner with engineering managers, product managers, and data science leaders to help deliver Yelp’s next generation data infrastructure ecosystem. The Data Infrastructure group is located across London and North America; the group looks after our entire streaming infrastructure (Apache Kafka and Apache Flink) as well as our databases (MySQL and Cassandra) and data warehouse (Redshift). Where You Come In:

You will define and execute major initiatives that have impact across multiple organizations.
You will drive the roadmap and quarterly planning process for the Data Infrastructure initiatives across Engineering.
You will help align product decisions with company-wide objectives.
You will proactively identify and analyze complex, long-term engineering problems with leadership.
You will conduct research into new Data Infrastructure investments.
You will evangelize Data Infrastructure best practices across the company.
You will manage program dependencies, define milestones, assess risks and identify resource requirements.
You will provide transparency and predictability of initiatives for stakeholders.
You will foster and grow a fun, diverse, inclusive culture that reflects Yelp’s values.

What it Takes to Succeed:

You have 5+ years of experience in an engineering leadership or program management role working on complex projects with nuanced dependencies.
You can successfully build relationships with a broad set of internal stakeholders across various departments.
You've got excellent technical fundamentals with a solid track record of delivering results for large and complex projects.
You are comfortable coordinating initiatives across multiple locations (London, Hamburg and San Francisco)
You have the ability to communicate complex plans effectively.
You are able to bring order to a high-pressure, chaotic situation.
You are able to influence and build consensus across multiple teams and stakeholders.
You can help develop and drive internal process improvements across multiple teams.
