Yelp is seeking a Product Manager to lead our Community team.

Yelp has hundreds of millions of people sharing their experiences each month, and the Community team is seeking a product leader who can inspire even more of those contributors to connect with one another and build a thriving community.

As a Product Manager on Consumer Contributions and Community team, you will be a thought leader defining and designing the new community concepts and formats that help our most engaged Yelpers give back to their local neighborhood. Build the future of Yelp’s community as we innovate on new ways for Yelpers to interact with others and create content that makes Yelp the favored place for millions of people to discover local businesses. 

This particular role requires an empathetic and collaborative product leader with strong consumer product instincts, and a proven track record of shipping great products. 
Ideally, you’ve had experience working on other platforms that help connect users with others in some sustained capacity.

Where You Come In:

  • Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap of features & tools that generate high-quality user generated content to engage the community and grow reviews
  • Collaborate with engineering & UX to launch new community experiences that delight users and help them create unique content and connect with others
  • Work with our data science and user research teams to craft insights into the behaviors and needs of content contributors and readers on Yelp, and translate those insights into hypotheses, tests and features that ultimately lead to a constantly evolving & improved product experience
  • Sift through our mountains of high-quality reviews and photos data to deliver personalized, contextual information to Yelp readers and content creators.
  • Seek to maintain global awareness of unique user experiences specifically in regards to social groups & communities
  • Total dedication to keeping community & a “sense of belonging” at the center of Yelp product and design decisions 

What It Takes To Succeed:

  • Based or willing to relocate within the United Kingdom
  • Several years of experience building consumer facing products.
  • Passion for UX: your wireframes convey a product vision.
  • Solid understanding of how to grow metrics and lots of practice running experiments.
  • Great with data: you can run your own queries and turn data into actionable insights.
  • Experience managing the development process: you know how to make things happen.
  • Play well with others - enjoy sharing knowledge and ideas with others as much as learning from them!
  • Past work experience with community, content creator management, video platforms and/or gamification features
