Warehouse Technician

Zagster, Philadelphia, PA, United States

We're on a mission to make biking the most loved form of transportation.

Do you like bikes? Come take a ride with Zagster. We are the leading provider of turn-key bike sharing solutions to corporations, colleges, hotels and apartments.

We’ve recently raised $10 million in Series B funding and operate more than 200 bike sharing programs, with clients such as Princeton University, Fort Collins Colorado, General Motors and Equity Properties.

We’re growing rapidly and everyone on our team makes a substantial impact on our business. We are going after a $1B+ market that is moving beyond the early adopters and becoming mainstream. While we are a tight-knit group that delivers relentlessly on deadlines, we make it a point to have fun. We are in the bike industry, after all!

Overview:

We are looking for some bike nerds with strong mechanical skills to help with assembly and fulfillment in our Philadelphia warehouse. You don’t need to have an encyclopedic knowledge of the latest top-end componentry, but you should be practiced in new bike assembly and proper adjustment of mid-end components. We also assist with installation of larger fleets, so multi-day work trips are a possibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Pre-assemble boxed bikes and re-pack for shipping, following an established QA process to ensure 0% error rate on receipt
  • Fulfill small parts orders to on-site mechanics through vendor drop-ship or warehouse stock, as appropriate
  • Book small parcel and LTL freight shipments through UPS/FedEx/freight broker web portals
  • Comply with federal shipping regulations around ORMD and lithium battery shipments
  • Update in-house inventory to reflect fulfilled orders
  • Receive vendor shipments
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station
  • Ability to manage time and work with a team to meet shipping deadlines with minimal management direction

Bonus points:

  • Ability to travel for new fleet installs
  • Basic construction skills - laying out station sites, operating rotary hammers and angle grinders, using riveting tools
  • Drivers’ license and clean driving record (+points if you’re comfortable driving box trucks, +more for CDL) and ability to drive to warehouse
  • Comfortable with technology
  • Candidates must be local - no relocation options
