About Zendrive

Zendrive’s mission is to “make roads safer using data and analytics”. To make that a reality, we use a smartphone based platform to:-Automatically detect accidents and help save lives-Understand and predict driving behavior, and incentivize safe driving

About your Role

Zendrive’s core value proposition comes from bringing machine learning algorithms to life - both on mobile and on server. We want a staff engineer to help drive the design, implementation and delivery of these.

We expect you to be the tech lead for teams of highly skilled engineers and provide them technical mentorship. You will use your technical expertise in the analysis, architecture, design, and delivery of large-scale enterprise-grade platforms, products, and APIs.

You will:-

Define and set standards for engineering rigor-drive the team’s technical roadmap, and influence technical directions for entire engineering

Mentor junior engineers-innovate, prototype, and adopt new software and technologies as needs arise

Work with Zendrive’s product team and customers to bring technical requirements out of product requirements and simplify them for the engineering teams.

Work on the technical design of critical projects within Zendrive.

Prerequisites

You must have:

-A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline

-10+ years of experience in building tech products-3+ years of experience in technical leadership

-Expert level proficiency in at least one of C++, Java, python

-Experience in designing and developing complex software systems for large scale deployment

-Experience working with relational databases like postgres, mysql

-Experience working with distributed storages like elasticsearch, cassandra, dynamodb and data lakes at big data scale

-Experience working with distributed compute technologies like hadoop, spark etc.

Nice to have:-Expert level proficiency in at least two of C++, Java, python-Experience with spark/hadoop, any big data infrastructure
