Zylo is at the cutting edge of how organizations of all shapes and sizes will buy and sell subscription-based software in the future, and we think that’s a pretty awesome place to be.
Our team is dedicated to building the next generation platform for organizations to manage and optimize SaaS. We are looking for a Dev Ops Engineer to join our team of engineers. As an important team member, you’ll share our vision to unlock the power of SaaS by combining spend, utilization, and employee feedback so that organizations get the most out of their SaaS investments. We’re just getting started and we’re building something huge, so we need passionate entrepreneurial-minded individuals that are risk takers, big thinkers, creatives, and evangelists to build something completely incredible.
We’re looking for a backend programmer to help build out our platform and infrastructure in AWS. A big component of our platform that will require innovative thinking is the need to import, manage and cleanse data from third parties. We are currently importing millions of records and need expertise on how to scale this process are we increase our capacity. Our infrastructure is built with Ansible, utilizing some of the latest services from AWS like Lambda and Kinesis.
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years of general web or platform development experience with web technologies.
- 1+ years experience with infrastructure as code frameworks, ie: Chef, Ansible, or Terraform.
- 2+ years experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or other PaaS.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design principles and methodologies.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- You’re a self starter who is excited about the fast pace of a growing, changing startup environment.
What it’s like to work with us
From a process standpoint, we’re constantly evolving, but here’s a few themes that don’t change.
We give our engineers problems to solve rather than solutions to implement. Features specs aren’t always perfectly written out so we look for self-starters.
We build small features to learn and iterate from. We’re comfortable admitting defeats and throwing away features that don’t make our users’ lives easier. We prefer continuous integration over scheduled releases, so we look for developers able to look at large complex problems and break them down into small pieces of deployable functionality.
We want our engineering team to work in lock-step with the other key areas of our business to build a product our customers love. We want to share our successes and learnings with each other as we continue to grow.
WHY SAAS FOR SAAS? Zylo was founded on the belief that the rise of the subscription economy brings a new era of opportunities and challenges for the enterprise. Zylo’s vision is to create the most powerful platform in the world to unlock the full potential of SaaS for customers, providers, and users.
