Videos We Make Here: Peloton’s Return to Office

Finding creative ways to convince candidates and employees that returning to the office can be productive for their work-life balance is a top priority for forward thinking talent teams in 2022. That’s why when Peloton’s Learning & Development Team reached out to Uncubed Studios with a return to office idea for its 3,000+ employees, we knew our video team was up for a unique content challenge.

The Ask

Peloton’s L & D Team came to Uncubed Studios with the following critical request: produce a series of timely video logs hosted by Peloton employees that captured everything a returning employee - and new hire - would need to know about working out of the Peloton office. That meant guiding five individual location hosts to cover all the bases. From commuting by public or personal transit, to finding a refrigerator to stash their lunch, Uncubed Studios would have to remotely guide Peloton employees into capturing user generated footage that could make their fellow team. members feel comfortable about working out of a traditional office once again.

How We Did It

Uncubed Studios collaborated with Peloton to identify individual location leads across five global Peloton offices that would act as our video hosts and onsite producers. Once a production plan, shot list, and script were created, our team scheduled individual meetings with video hosts to help prep them for their official shoot day. Once we received the footage, we combined it with Peloton branded graphics to create a series of short form stories that focused on different return to office elements like pre-planning your trip, commuting, office layout and perks, and neighborhood information. Though we can’t show you those videos since they’re for Peloton employees only, we did create this snazzy sizzle above which features some of the footage captured from our shoot.

Why These Videos Are Important

Creating content that visualizes a return to office was incredibly useful to Peloton as they transitioned from a remote to hybrid work model in 2022. With such a unique employer brand culture, Peloton was able to reinforce their values and humanize the experience of having to return to office after working from home for over a year. Taking a creative approach with employee communications through internal videos that focus on the day to day concerns employees have about office life post-pandemic serve as a wake up call for employers struggling to get their employees back into headquarters with their “return to work or else” emails. We’re proud to have been able to help visualize this return to office journey for Peloton and make our partner’s critical communication plan come to life.
